The video shared is about the possibility of BYTE taking over Tiktok. The audience for the article is particularly those into social media and who enjoy exploring new apps. BYTE was downloaded over 1 million times on its first appearance on the app stores compared to Vine, another viral app. The video also shared the analytics of the growing downloads of the app, which proves that it is starting to become viral. Mashable shares that it has gotten twice as many downloads in the first day it appeared in the app store compared to Vine in the first week. To lure in more creators, BYTE plans on sharing 100% of ad revenue. I have never actually heard of BYTE, but from this video it makes me want to download the app just to learn more about it.  So will BYTE really take over TikTok? 

The video is shared to those who use the BYTE app. The app is currently being overrun by spam comments. The video shares that new updates will be coming to the app such as being able to like or block comments. On January 25 2020 BYTE tweeted that they will also be adding a new program where they could partner with creators to help them get paid. Through the video they continue to raise the awareness that BYTE might be taking over Tiktok.

Facebook is currently working hard to improve their fact check operation to make sure their users are not getting false information. They are hoping it gives them the proper facts before the false ones become viral. Mashable shares that the new program will leverage the Facebook community. Since everything on the internet is not true, creators of Facebook hope their app will not create false journalism and intentional manipulation. Do you think having a fact checker will really help?
